I tried to imagine what it would be like to lose both my parents by the time I was 20. I tried to imagine how I would be feeling then if my dead parents best friends tried to take over and raise me. I tried to imagine telling my children that they didn't have grandparents because my parents were grandparent age when they had me. It just didn't jive for me. I'm firmly convinced that this couple is selfish and does not have the best interest of the child at heart. It's as though they are obessed with creating a "trophy" child for the husband and that doesn't sit well with me at all. I tried to put myself in the place of this child.
