Hey TT – Hand made to order. What a great idea! Didn’t even occur to me, but if it had I’d have to have got my act together somewhat sooner. Something to bear in mind for next time.

My beloved and your hubby apparently have exactly the same taste in wallets. What I did was ask a local leather worker to make one to order. That was 7 years ago and it’s still going strong.

As for my own wallet I’m fixed for life. At the same time I have beloved’s made I purchased two actually designed for passports and traveling type wallets (one in black leather and one in brown). They were made to order and they are barely showing any wear at all. But perhaps that’s because I’m so parsimonious.

Now as for watches beloved stops them cold. Yup he even stopped the gold pocket watch I bought him when we were newlyweds. And, in fact, he hasn’t used one since.

Yes, he really did. The only thing I added was “the wallet” in the title. Actually, it makes it easier for me to get what he’d like because I know what to look for. All I really have to do is get one without all the stuff he doesn’t like… As he said, he is fussy about his wallet.

at least he’s better than my dad. i never, ever see my gifts for him after i gave them. don’t know it’s cos he hates it or it’s lost underneath all the junk he piles into his room.
