12 01 2007Why, oh WHY do women put up with this crap? What happened to self respect? She’s rich, she’s beautiful. She’s talented (o.k. maybe she sucks as an actor, but she is a singer…). She was rich and beautiful before she met this surly-looking toe-rag (even if he’s a rich surly-looking toe-rag). So it can’t be his money. Can it? Maybe it’s his magnetic personality. Not.
Yet if the stories are true, and if the letter is true, (check out the link) she’s content to let him push and shove her around. How much further before it becomes a smack? It is a slippery slope, Beyonce. Get real girl! The writings long been on the wall! He just cannot be worth it.

Umm, No…Mediatakeout=the least credible site on the internet. They make up majority of the stories that’s on their site. (What has happened to real journalism?) They have this hate obsession with Jay-Z and Beyonce so therefore they start these nasty rumors about the two. It’s sad. They took and old video that’s been out since 2000 and tried to make a story around it.
The footage is a scene from a 2000 concert documentary ‘Back Stage.’ The female shown is one of the rapper’s best friends, Chaka Pilgrim, and the two were only joking.
‘Back Stage’ director Chris Fiore also corroborated that the hand-to-face smoosh was “playful” when asked about it in June 2005. “The shot in question was taken out of context by me, and was used in the film to create a sense of heightened tension at the end of the tour,” Fiore said then.
Pilgrim, who works for Jay-Z’s Rocawear company, even confirmed she and Jigga are still good friends and told the New York Daily News that “we were just playing around.”

Interesting. Thanks for your comment. I hope they were joking. There’s so little of the video it could be taken out of context, which is why I had to caveat it with “if the stories are true”. But I have to say it didn’t look at all playful to me - neither what he did nor his expression when he did it.
Even so, it only explains the video. It is the letter and its implications that I was more interested in.
If it’s true.. Beyonce is gorgeous, smart and successful. She doesn’t need an older, richer man to love/abuse her!
I like Beyonce, but I’ve never thought Jay-Z and her made for a good couple. But I guess it’s like I heard a DJ say, “A beautiful woman doesn’t have to explain why she’s with an average looking man.” If the allegations of abuse are true, I’m pretty sure her dad, Matthew, would have “talked” to Jay-Z about it in a hurry.
but sometimes women arent intelligent enough to know the dangers or they may think i will change them.. just because someone is supposedly beautiful and smart, doesnt mean she wont get into such situations, smart people can be abused too.
