I think that was one of the seasons I hardly bought anything, because it was so unappealing. Yuck. Have to say I dislike 80's fashion and can't understand why designers felt we needed to have it back... I have unbent towards the skinny jean though - and that surprised even me, because I hated them when they first came out :) And yes, even with all the talk of the "unhealthy models" they are just as skinny as ever. AM - Shoes?? Did someone say SHOES??! Honestly, don't get me started on shoes...Like Christine I love shoes and bags... and as far as I'm concerned a woman can never have enough of either... ;) I now have to cull brutally to find room for any new acquisitions. Or refrain from buying. It's gonna be tough as I've seen some goodies for spring already! Christine - One reason I buy my fashion mags - apart from the drool factor and the fact l love clothes - is that I get heaps of ideas for how to "summerize" my wardrobe - with more affordable versions of what I like of course. I've found I can usually do this with a couple of pieces, but I do tend to go for classic stuff that's easy to team up. I only care if it affects whether I can find summat I like. When that nasty boho look was hot, and everything was in ugly shades of beige and brown, and looked like baglady clothes, I couldn't find anything i liked. Even the jewellery was mostly hideous. Flashdance, cool!!! I adore the 80s, and wear 80s clothes if I feel like it. I don't care what ppl think, and don't follow all these boring fashion rules women are slaves to. What is sooooooooooooooo hot now, will look stupid, according to fashionistas, in 5 years. So, who cares, I wear what I want, when I want. I'm a winter and fall person. I do accessorize with colour but I don't often wear a lot of vibrant clothes. I'm not one for the folksy look either. And while I did purchase leggings this season, I can't bring myself to wear them...I get Flashdance flashbacks.
