I found this chart on Vhemt (remember Nina Paley anyone?) and thought it was great. Click the thumbnail for a sample…

Interesting…
I’ve never thought of different excuses and actual reasons behind them before. I feel abit foolish, lol.

LOVE LOVE LOVE This!

Thanks so much for sharing.

Was at a meeting last night talking with a Social Worker. One of her clients is 15.

8 months pregnant. From either her Dad or cousin…not sure which.

The Social Worker has 2 more weeks to convince, wheedle, plead for her to give her child up for adoption.

She said she sees ‘pregnancies that shouldn’t exist’ all the time and all it is doing is condeming the child to a lifetime of poverty and abuse.

Am going to share this PDF with her in the hopes it might help her help her clients.

i have a list like that on my forum, not sure where i got it from, it was a long time ago.

Why Breed? its in order, reasons given, real, reasons and possible solutions

Reasons given I can’t help it, it’s a biological urge.

Real reasons Unexamined motivations.

Suggested alternatives Institutions await those who can’t control their biological urges

Want to give our parents grandchildren.

Still seeking parental approval.

Live your own life and encourage your parents to do the same

Wow, what is this?

I can’t believe there is a site about people patting themselves on the back because they don’t want kids? I’m not sure i’ve ever come across a more pointless site. Life is about procreation. That’s it, every cell in our body is programmed for it, quite literally. No one is pushing you to have kids, unless you’re part of some religious cult.

Why do you perceive that people are pushing you, when they are not? Maybe it’s because it’s your subconscious guilt that is attacking your desire to not have children, and your psychosis is driving you to make blogs insulting peoples desire for children in retaliation for your own guilt. What a bunch of losers.

It’s also in our genes to kill stuff, destroy stuff and be selfish. It’s animal instinct to mark your territory with excrement, be jealous over your mate, hoard and consume things with abandon. It’s in our genes to eat too much salt, sugar and fat, to be attracted to mind altering substances, to be as lazy as possible in order to conserve energy. It’s what made one random hairless ape conquer the world. That’s in the biology too.

I am all for reconsidering our “biological imperatives”. If I can reasonably think about, and control my actions regarding the above…

I don’t see how procreating can’t be regarded in the same way. I am not here to breed…I’m just here. Living on an overburdened planet. Like everyone else. Trying to somewhat control my instincts…not abandon myself to them.

PS- we look at sites like this because we get a lot of hostility from people like you. But heck…you sure do sound happy!
