Childfree Blogger’s Posts Mocked

Not Cool

I thought this was rather interesting coming so soon after my article on anti-childfree visitors to childfree blogs. This is an example of the nastiness expressed by the anti-childfree against childfree people who happen to blog about living as a childfree person in a very childed society.

Someone, obviously taking offence at the blogger being childfree, has decided to have a weekly article on her own site – to mock the childfree blogger. Definitely stupid and pretty juvenile. Very uncool. But sadly an example of the crap that childfree bloggers have to contend with.

I did comment, and I hope you’ll go over to Purple Women and Friends and read her story for yourself. And I’m pretty sure she would be most interested in your point of view -  particularly since many of us know what it’s like to be on the end of anti-childfree trolls and their unsavoury tactics.

Thank you for cross posting my story. I’m the anonymous blogger over at Purple Women and Friends and I’ve been heartened by the supportive response my post got.

mercurior - though there’s nothing I’d like more than to let you have some fun, I reckon it would just encourage the sick person who seems to find my boring miserable (childless) life so interesting. I’m hopeful that their poisonous blog will wither away and die.

What a loser! I read the Purple Women post yesterday and was appalled that someone would sink that low. I figure it is someone who is being passive-aggressive, ya know they’ve regretted their decision and want to make other people’s live miserable. Eventually, they MUST get tired of mocking the author’s posts…if not they need to get a life.

I also saw this post on Purple Women and posted a note of my support for the anonymous childfree blogger. This mocker is really quite pathetic and sad. I really believe people who act this way are desperately unhappy with themselves. Being inside a mind like that must be horrible. They are really poisoning themselves with that bile.

I hope the anonymous childfree blogger will continue to blog and take comfort from the decent, quiet majority. I do believe we are the majority, even though the trolls are louder. Maybe that just the Canadian in me! :)

I’m not the least bit surprised. A friend of mine and I were laughing a few months ago about how it was only a matter of time before the trolls on my site did that to me, and we even joked about starting our own site to mock my site so that when some idiot mommy blogger decided to do that, it would have already been done and take the fun out of her doing it. But I just don’t have the time to do that, even though we thought it was a hilarious idea.

I’m sorry you’re going through this, though. But it just goes to show that they have far more free time than we do. So much for parenting being “hard”.

I’ve been a member of many childfree boards where one or several anti-childfree persons decided they had to be heard. Most of their posts were woefully misinformed about everything involving being childfree. Eventually, they were shut out once people figured out they just wanted to rant instead of having a real dialogue.
